Independent Public Service Pensions Commission Final Report
The government appointed Labour MP John Hutton to chair the independent Public Service Pensions Commission.The final report from the Commission was published today. The key issues are:
- Final salary will be replaced by Career Average
- Increase in retirement age
- Cost sharing
- Supports the end of Fair Deal
Each government department will undertake negotiations with trade unions and social partners by the end of this Parliament.
