Primary Care
UNISON is leading the way in campaigning for staff working in primary care. We believe that many of the reforms being pushed by the government hold major risks, not just to staff terms and conditions and job security, but for the continuity and quality of healthcare to patients and the future of the NHS as a publicly owned and operated resource.Primary care staff are experiencing massive uncertainty over their future as they face the proposed abolition of PCTs and strategic health authorities. Meanwhile staff in PCT provider organisations face the worrying prospect of being transferred out of the NHS and into social enterprises or private companies.
If you're not already a UNISON member speak to your local UNISON representative about how joining can ensure your voice is heard in the workplace.
