New structures, new partnerships, new ways of working
Public services are changing. So, how does our union need to make sure we can support our members in these changing times?
If UNISON is to continue to be the UK's leading trade union throughout the 21st century and an effective voice for all public sector workers, we need to be flexible enough to meet our members' needs wherever and however they work.
That means looking at what we do and how we do it to ensure that we best deliver for our members and protect the services they provide.
The new structures project has three main strands of work:
implementing new branch structures
to ensure that your branch can best represent you in your workplace and can campaign effectively on your behalf
reviewing branch finances and resources
to ensure that all branches have the resources to really deliver for you
changing service group structures
to allow us to strengthen our sectors and bargaining groups.
