Agenda for Change

Agenda for Change is the name given to the new NHS national pay and grading system. It was introduced in 2004 to harmonise pay and terms and conditions for all NHS workers other than doctors. The system was negotiated by government health departments and UNISON, together with other health unions.

Evidence to the NHS Pay Review Body

(20/09/2011)  UNISON has submitted evidence to the NHS Pay Review Body for the 2012/13 pay round.

Job Profile Consultation

The NHS Staff Council are seeking views on the amended Professional Managers Profiles and the newly developed Support Services Generic Profiles. Branches are invited to comment on the profiles.

On-call implementation survey

Trade Unions on the NHS Staff Council subgroup are trying to get a quick picture of progress that organisations in England have made towards harmonising on-call arrangements. Please help with the online survey.

NHS trade union bargaining advice

(22/02/2010) Fourteen NHS Trade unions have published joint bargaining advice to their regions, branches and representatives to counter the threat by some English NHS employers to break away from the national terms and conditions agreement, Agenda for Change.
