Fighting Redundancies
Dedicated public service workers across the country are being made redundant as a result of a global recession caused by the greed and irresponsibility of the few.
College staff are on the frontline dealing with this recession - helping people who have been made redundant reskill and retrain to help them back in to work. Yet despite this we are also seeing a wave of job losses across FE colleges.
UNISON is determined to fight these job cuts and to campaign for a more just society. Now is the time to build a fairer society and a more balanced and sustainable economy - based on social justice, good jobs, and quality public services'.
